Our top 5 low light houseplants

Our top 5 low light houseplants

Most plants need bright, indirect light, so it can be hard to find green amigos that will thrive in basements or rooms with North-facing windows. But not to worry! There are still many plants that do well in conditions of lower light, which is why we have created a list of our top 5 low light houseplants. These green friends won't let anything get in their way. Especially not a lack of sun!

Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)

We begin our list with the Peace Lily, known for its beautiful white flowers and air purifying qualities. Our friend Lilly is an air-purifying pro that removes toxins from the air without batting an eye. And she doesn't require a lot of light to do so.

Aglaonema

Another strong air purifier who enjoys the shade is Josh the Aglaonema. Aglaonemas love greenhouses, but they can also be wonderful houseplants under similar conditions. While this means lots of watering and misting for Josh, it surprisingly does not mean that he needs a lot of light. Nice!
