How to care for Asher

Place him in the sunniest spot available where he receives at least 6 to 8 hours of direct, daily sunlight—if kept indoors, a south-facing window or a strong grow light is ideal to keep him producing fruit. Asher needs a fast-draining, specialized citrus soil mix and a container with ample drainage holes to prevent soggy conditions. Water him deeply and thoroughly whenever the top 2 to 3 inches of soil dry out, but ensure no excess water lingers in his saucer. Feed him regularly with a nitrogen-rich, specialized citrus fertilizer throughout the growing season, and protect him from cold drafts, as he thrives in warm, humid conditions and cannot tolerate freezing temperatures.
