How to care for Bennett

Place Bennett in the sunniest spot available where he can soak up at least 6 to 8 hours of direct, bright light daily—use a supplemental grow light during darker winter months to keep him producing flowers and fruit. Bennett requires a light, fast-draining potting mixture tailored for citrus and a container with substantial drainage holes. Water him thoroughly whenever the top 2 inches of soil feel dry, taking care never to let his roots sit in soggy, waterlogged soil. Feed him regularly with a nitrogen-rich, citrus-specific fertilizer throughout the spring and summer growing season. Keep him in a warm room away from cold drafts, and mist his glossy foliage or use a pebble tray to provide comfortable humidity when grown indoors.
