Baloo's survival guide

Besides Baloo's life story, we have to comment on his remarkable leaves. They are quite fast growing and moisture-wicking, which makes for high humidity. Good for Baloo, good for you! Banana plants contain about 80% water. Needless to say, Baloo is a thirsty roommate and really adores the sun! So pick a bright spot and... go bananas!

What makes Baloo so special

Baloo's little brother is even cuter than his bigger brother, we think! When we met Baloo and his big brother for the first time we couldn't help but ask him where he got his name. He told us that, when he was little, a beary good friend roamed the Jungle with him. Together they had the best time. He is now named after him. We had no idea what he was talking about but it doesn't matter. Baloo makes us really happy and we're sure he will make you happy too!

Got a gift card for my birthday in the gift box (Fred the air plant was much larger than expected!) and after much though and deliberation given how large their assortment is, chose three plants to order. All three arrived earlier than expected and in fairly good condition, in very well planned packaging that even included a heat pack. They were a bit smushed but they seemed healthy - no pests - and are doing well now. The only problem I had was with just how full the pots were which made them a bit difficult to transport and water especially since they were pretty large given their pot size; definitely have to repot them within the year. Oh and the ceramic pot I ordered as well came and looks very cute! It's a touch small for their nursery pots, they fit inside but with a bit of a lip over the top, but otherwise look great. Definitely would recommend and plan on buying more in the future :D Read less

So stoked on our order! It came in quick, in great conditions and the plants are lovely. They also use cardboard and brown paper, which is great! There was no plastic in the packaging. They even added 2 succulents as a gift in our order. Kelsi, one of their staff member even reached out to me to make sure I didn't make a mistake because not all the pots I ordered fit the plants I ordered (it was for some plants that I already owned, but how sweet?!) First time we purchased for Plantsome and definitely not the last. Great experience!! Read less
