Albie is a gentle, graceful spirit who brings a sense of light and movement wherever he settles down. He stands out from ordinary woodland greenery by sporting a wardrobe of long, slender, ribbon-like frills, each featuring a glowing, bright creamy-silver stripe running right down the center. Albie is a big fan of the classic indoor spa life; he absolutely thrives in high-humidity spaces like bright bathrooms or kitchens, where his delicate fronds can stay crisp and fresh. He strongly dislikes direct, burning sunlight and preferred to hang out in soft, filtered shade. Keep his rich soil consistently moist like a wrung-out sponge, and he will happily wave his airy, silver-and-green fingers to add a touch of elegant motion to your shelf.

How to care for Albie

We see you looking at these leaves thinking, what the frond! Indeed, the Pteris Fern harbours flat pinnate fronds which ironically contrast the traditional idea of how a fern usually looks. Its a crazy look but we're here for it! Unlike some of her family members Holly is the type of fern that's not so fussy about moisture. She requires little amounts of it and doesn't need much protection from dry air to grow well. So not an overly demanding plant in terms of water and light but she does demand a lot of attention and respect whether she’s earned it or not!
