Rhipsalis cereuscula, often called the Coral Cactus, doesn’t behave like a typical cactus at all.
Instead of spines and desert posture, it offers soft, coral-like cascades of segmented green stems. It feels more like something from a tidepool than a dry landscape—unexpected and gently architectural. Give it bright, indirect light and protect it from harsh, direct sun that can stress its delicate stems. Water when the top layer of soil dries out, ensuring excellent drainage to avoid root issues. It appreciates humidity and does well in indoor environments with stable, moderate conditions. Hang it or let it spill, and it becomes a living sculpture that quietly defies expectation.

How to care for Bob

Bright, direct light

Cacti thrive in bright light, and can tolerate indirect light. Place in a spot with ample sunlight. If you notice browning on the side where the light is, pull your cactus back a few feet.

Very little water

Cacti prefer infrequent watering, be sure to allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
