How to care for Archer

Plant him in a wide-open, sunny location that receives full sun—at least 6 to 8 hours of direct light daily—to maximize his fruit yield and autumn color. Archer requires acidic, well-draining soil with a low pH (ideally between 4.5 and 5.5) enriched with organic matter like peat moss or pine bark. Keep his soil consistently moist, especially while setting fruit and during hot summer spells, but avoid waterlogged conditions. While he is self-fertile, planting him alongside another highbush blueberry variety will significantly boost your harvest size. Prune him annually in late winter to clear out old, non-productive wood and encourage vibrant new fruiting stems.
