How to care for Penny

This plant comes in a 1 gallon pot. The Peony Gardenia is a lush, midseason bloomer known for its creamy white, rose-shaped double flowers with a subtle blush tone and sweet fragrance. For best performance, plant it in well-drained, fertile loamy soil with full sun exposure (at least 6 hours daily). Water regularly during dry periods, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new shoots emerge, and mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. After blooming, remove spent flowers, and in late fall, cut back all stems to ground level after the foliage dies back. Though slow to establish, once settled, Peony ‘Gardenia’ will return reliably year after year with stunning, fragrant blooms.
