Rupert is a neat, dapper little fellow who brings a sharp eye for patterns and architecture into your indoor jungle. Also known as the Beetle Peperomia, he trades ordinary plain foliage for a handsome cloak of stiff, coin-shaped leaves featuring a stunning, parallel geometric design of pale lime and deep emerald stripes. Rupert is a natural-born trailer who loves to let his reddish, vine-like stems cascade elegantly over the side of a small pot or a floating shelf. Because he stores water inside his thick, succulent-like leaves, he is wonderfully independent and prefers that you let his well-draining soil dry out quite a bit between drinks. Give him a cozy spot in bright, indirect light, and this easy-going gentleman will quietly fill your space with a tidy, modern charm.

How to care for Rupert

Peperomia Angulata or Peperomia Funky Frog is one of the toughest Peperomias out there, making it the perfect easy care plant! The brightly striped, green leaves of this tropical houseplant prefer bright, indirect light but are tolerant of low light. They are great in hanging pots because the stems will start to trail. If the trailing stems get too long, prune them for propagation!
