Don't let the size fool you. The Syngonium Pixie White is tiny, but it walks into a room like it owns the place.
This pint-sized charmer is a dwarf variety of the ever-popular Arrowhead Plant, and it has taken everything great about its bigger cousins — the gorgeous foliage, the easy-going nature, the tropical personality — and packed it all into an adorably compact package. The arrow-shaped leaves arrive in a striking two-tone of creamy white splashed with soft green edges, and the brighter the indirect light you give it, the more vivid and bold that contrast becomes. It's basically an incentive to find it a good spot.
Native to the rainforests of Central and South America, the Pixie White is a hemi-epiphytic grower — meaning in the wild it starts in the soil and then climbs the nearest tree as it matures. Indoors, it stays wonderfully compact, making it perfect for desks, shelves, bathroom windowsills, and any other spot that could use a little living art. It also thrives in terrariums if you're feeling fancy.
Care-wise, this one is refreshingly forgiving. It tolerates a range of light conditions, appreciates consistent moisture without ever sitting in soggy soil, and rewards the occasional mist or humidity boost with lush, happy growth. A complete overachiever in the easiest possible way.
One important note — keep this one out of reach of pets and children. Like all Syngoniums, it contains calcium oxalate crystals that are toxic if ingested, so hang it high or tuck it somewhere curious paws can't reach.
